NSU's MLK Observance and Commemorative March to be Held Thursday, Jan. 13

Norfolk State University will kick-off its Black History Month activities with the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Observance and Freedom March at noon Thursday, January 13.  The symbolic march leaves from the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library and proceeds to the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center.  Immediately following the march, a program entitled "Interpretations of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” will be held.  This year's event will feature poetic, musical, theatrical and dance interpretations of Dr. King's legacy.

This program is sponsored by the MLK, Black History Month Committee, Honors College, NSU Dance Theatre, College of Liberal Arts, History and Interdisciplinary Studies' Departments.  For more information, contact Dr. Khadijah O. Miller at 823-2864 or email komiller@nsu.edu.
