Until April 1, 2017, you have the once in a lifetime opportunity to leave a lasting and meaningful tribute to Norfolk State University. Through the G.W.C. Brown Memorial Hall Donor Legacy Walls project, your personalized nameplate will serve as permanent reminder of your commitment and passion for NSU.
G.W.C. Brown Memorial Hall, first known as Tidewater Hall, served as Norfolk State University’s “nerve center” for more than 60 years. As time and technology caught up with our first campus building, it became apparent that a state-of-the-art facility was needed to meet the 21st Century needs of students, faculty and the community. Good News: In August 2017, the new 154,000 square-foot, $54 million replacement building will officially open.
Alumni, friends, faculty and staff now have the opportunity to leave a lasting impression by purchasing a personalized nameplate. Your nameplate will be prominently displayed in one of the two premier locations: the Gallery Vestibule or the Lobby Amphitheater. Proceeds will support NSU’s areas of greatest need fund, which gives the University the flexibility to direct gifts where they are needed most and can have the most impact immediately.
Please visit www.nsu.edu/legacy to view the informational brochure. It is our hope that the brochure will answer your questions about purchasing your personalized nameplate. If you need additional assistance, please contact Michelle D. Hill ’96, Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving at (757) 823-8135 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
