NSU Students Win Awards at the 68th Joint Annual Meeting of Beta Kappa Chi (BKX)

and the National Institutes of Science (NIS)

 

Twenty-seven members of the Norfolk State University Chapter of the Beta Kappa Chi National Scientific Honor Society and National Institutes of Science along with Mrs. Maureen Scott, Advisor, attended and presented research at the 68th Joint Annual Meeting of Beta Kappa Chi (BKX) and The National Institutes of Science (NIS). The National Conference was hosted by Clark Atlanta University Graduate College in Atlanta, GA. The conference was held March 22-27, 2011.

NSU students competed with students from other colleges and universities across the United States including Puerto Rico. Norfolk State University winners were:

Mailene King was elected Eastern Regional National Officer for the National Institutes of Science

3rd Place, Poster Presentation
