Norfolk State senior kicker Ryan Estep was named the MEAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, and freshman linebacker Marcell Coke was named Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Estep hit a career-high four field goals, connecting from 23, 28, 32 and
39 yards out in NSU’s MEAC title-clinching 47-14 win at Morgan State.
Estep was also a perfect 5-of-5 on extra points, giving him a
career-high 17 points on the day. Estep finished the regular season
20-of-21 on field goals and 33-of-33 on extra points. He leads the MEAC
and ranks third in the nation with 1.8 made field goals per game. Estep
also leads the MEAC in scoring, at 8.45 points per game.(Click here for more information)
